The victory of the Prize International Car Lease – Garage Vandenberghe, a CSI3* 1m45 test, was for British rider Guy Williams and Titus. Constant Van Paesschen and Astro Boy performed a clear second round in a very fast time of 30.98 sec. that seemed unbeatable for a while, but Guy, who was among the last of the 46 riders to enter the ring, was able to do better and finished in 26.68 sec.
“Titus is very experienced, so I thought we could win this”, Guy says.
“Constant had a tight time there, but Titus is very quick, he measures every jump and has that experience going for him. This class suited him”.
Guy is very happy about Flanders Horse Event: “it’s a beautiful show. It’s my second time here and it’s a beautiful place, the footing, the jumps and the VIP are good”.
Guy is not sure yet which horses he’ll take to tomorrow’s Grand Prix CSI2* and CSI3*.
“My three horses can jump Grand Prix, so I’ll have to see. But I hope to win both!”
