Flanders Horse Event can once again count on some of the very best Belgian riders for the CSI3*, CSI2* and CSIYH competition. One of those riders is Pieter Devos, and he will not come alone as his brother Wouter and wife Caroline Poels-Devos will also be riding in Beervelde.
“It must be the tenth or eleventh time I am riding in Beervelde”, the rider from Bekkevoort (near Leuven) says.
“Flanders Horse Event is organized in a beautiful setting, and that attracts a lot of people each year. I think there are not too much shows where you see that many people from Thursday already, and it is very nice to compete in such a great atmosphere. It’s motivating for us, riders”.
Pieter is hence looking forward to attending our show, and not only because of its atmosphere and surroundings:
“Flanders Horse Event has very good arenas, a good organisation and everything is nearby because it’s such a compact show. A competition doesn’t always have to be big to be good. Furthermore, other CSI2* or CSI3* shows often organize several competitions, while Beervelde only has one show per year. That makes it all the more special to be there for the riders”.
Pieter’s leading horse will be his Belgian Warmblood gelding Espoir (Surcouf de Revel):
“It will be the first time Espoir is coming back to a more difficult competition, but he’s a very competitive horse. I think I can achieve good placings with him in the big classes, and I hope we get in the top ten in the Grand Prix”.
We wish Pieter and all the riders who will attend Flanders Horse Event a show to remember!
