Flanders Horse Event has started!  The first international classes of the competition took place this afternoon, with excellent results for Belgium!

 

Robbe Schelfaut was the first international winner of this edition and took the CSI1* 1m05 Air Plus Prize with Ungaro (s. Heartbreaker) after a clear round in 60.19 seconds. Dylan Van Belle and Cequitta WZ also performed a clear round in a 62.53 seconds time and obtained the second place. The third place was for Jerry Van Damme and Ellinor Z, also clear in a 65.78 seconds time.

 

The CSI1* Prize DM Fencing & Gates, a 1m20 class in two phases, went to Melissa Laenen and Jaegermeister K (Boris van het Kluizenbos).  The combination performed a double clear in a 28.98 sec. time in the second phase. Mathieu-Maxim Goossens and Ghostbuster were a bit slower and obtained the second place after a clear in 29.06 sec. The third place was for Jerry Van Damme, this time with Jiggie (clear in 30.19 sec.).

 

Meanwhile, the young horse classes have started here in Beervelde. We will end the day with the 7-year-old class starting at 6.15 pm.
