The evening session as started at Flanders Horse Event. Earlier today, we had the finals for the six-and seven-year-old horses here in Beervelde.
The winner of the Van de Heffinck & Alonco Prize for six-year-old horses was Virginie Thonon, who rode Corsica de Greenbay Z. Virginie performed a clear round in a 24.25 sec. time for the second phase. Hendrik Denutte, who won the young horse class on Wednesday, obtained the second place after a clear in a 25.23 sec. time with Elvis de Wijnendaele Z. Rachel Steffen closed the top three after a clear in 26.10 sec. with Guelfo.
In the Joris De Brabander Prize for seven-year-old horses, Tal Milstein Stables rider Dayro Arroyave (COL) won the class with no less than BWFA ambassador Luigi d’Eclipse (Catoki x Calato), sold at the auction here in Beervelde! Dayro performed a clear round in 25.45 sec. and stayed ahead of Julio Arias (ESP), clear in 25.54 sec. with his Selle Français Best of Adriers. The third place went to the German rider Maximilian Lill and Capitale 6, who performed a clear round in a 25.63 sec. time.
Both Virginie Thonon and Dayro Arroyave received a 1000€ voucher for tonight’s BWFA auction.
